Syncfusion Excel library for ASP.NET Core platform can be used to create, read, edit Excel files. This also convert Excel files to PDF.

Create a simple Excel report

The below steps illustrates creating a simple Invoice formatted Excel document on Mac OS.

Step 1: Create a new C# .NET Core console application.
Create .NET Core console project in Visual Studio

Step 2: Select the framework version.
Select framework version

Step 3: Name the application.
Name the application

Step 4: Install the Syncfusion.XlsIO.Net.Core NuGet package as reference to your application from NuGet.org.
Install Syncfusion.XlsIO.Net.Core Nuget Package

NOTE

Starting with v16.2.0.x, if you reference Syncfusion assemblies from trial setup or from the NuGet feed, you also have to add “Syncfusion.Licensing” assembly reference and include a license key in your projects. Please refer to this link to know about registering Syncfusion license key in your applications to use our components.

Step 5: Include the following Namespaces in the Program.cs file.
