The NumericUpDownExt control enables XP Themes look and feel for the UpDown controls that are missing in the corresponding .NET control.

NumericUpDownExt is an advanced NumericUpdown control and has the following features.


  • Value Settings

The value settings provide options to set the value to be displayed by the NumericUpDownExt control and increment / decrement the value.

The minimum value of the control can also be set.

  • Display Settings

The number of decimal places to be displayed by the NumericUpDownExt control can be set.

  • Appearance Settings

The background and foreground color of the control can be set. The foreground color can be set separately for the negative values of the control.

  • Behavior Settings

The InterceptArrowKeys property allows the user to change values using the up and down arrow keys apart from the standard up and down buttons.

The alignment settings provide options to align the text of the control to the Left, Right and Center.

The up and down buttons can also be aligned using the UpDownAlign property.

2D and 3D border styles can be applied to the NumericUpDownExt. The color of the border can be set for the control using theBorderColor property.

Another unique feature is that, themed border can be provided for the control using the ThemedBorder property.

The maximum and minimum size of the control can be set.
