.NET 9 Support Update:

Syncfusion will discontinue support for .NET 9 in our .NET MAUI controls following the release of .NET 11 GA in November 2026. Customers are encouraged to upgrade to a supported .NET version to continue receiving updates and support.

SfRichTextEditor

Grouping Support

The Rich Text Editor now provides a mobile adaptive toolbar layout through the IsGrouped property. When enabled, toolbar items are automatically grouped into categorized collections and presented using a touch-friendly interface, delivering an optimized editing experience on Android and iOS devices.

This enhancement reduces toolbar clutter, improves accessibility of formatting commands, and enables a more streamlined content editing experience on mobile platforms.

Block Schema Structure Input and Output

The Rich Text Editor now supports structured content through schema-based Block Nodes. This feature enables users to load, edit, and retrieve content in a strongly typed block schema format.

The structured content model provides a flexible foundation for creating and managing rich documents while simplifying content processing, serialization, and application integration. Users can work with document content in a schema format that preserves document structure and semantics across editing operations.

Text Transform Support

The Rich Text Editor now provides text transformation support for converting selected content to Upper Case and Lower Case formats.

This feature enables users to quickly modify the casing of selected text directly from the toolbar, improving editing productivity and simplifying common text formatting tasks.

Breaking Changes

Obsoleted APIs

The following APIs have been marked as obsolete and are scheduled for removal in a future release:

  • DefaultTextColor
  • DefaultFontFamily
  • DefaultFontSize
  • UseHybridWebView

Developers should migrate to the latest Rich Text Editor configuration model and update the default values through the Value property.

Content Input API Changes

The following properties are no longer publicly accessible:

  • HtmlText
  • Text

These properties have been made internal and replaced with a unified Value property.

The new Value property provides a single entry point for supplying editor content. Users can now provide content in multiple formats, including:

  • HTML content
  • Plain text content
  • Schema block node content

The content type is determined using the TValue enumeration, which specifies the format of the input being assigned to the editor.

This unified model simplifies content initialization and enables support for both traditional text-based content and structured schema-based documents.
